Lucky (Super Easy to Make!) Homemade Ice Cream

Getting Kids to Eat Their Veggies
Chunky Monkey Popcorn Cake

I am loving this recipe! Where has it been all my life? Three ingredient homemade ice cream? Yes, please! My kiddoes love ice cream, but I cringe reading the ingredients on the store bought stuff and the “all natural” kind is usually so pricey that we only buy it on special occasions.

However, this recipe is so easy to make it’s perfect for this week’s Cooking With Kids recipe and definitely one you’re going to want to keep on hand for trying new add-ins later on. Because really, there are soooo many combinations you could go with to make this a different favorite every time!

For this week’s recipe though, we’re having some fun with St. Patrick’s Day and decided to add Lucky Charms cereal to make it a special treat for the week. Ready to get started? Here are the ingredients you’ll need to gather:

I know. Looks too easy, right?

First step. Pour two cups of the heavy cream in your mixer and turn it on high until it forms stiff peaks.

This only takes about a minute and an half.

Next, add the sweetened condensed milk and a teaspoon of vanilla. Turn it back on until those are incorporated and it’s back to forming stiff peaks. Doesn’t take long at all.

Lastly, add about two cups of the Lucky Charms cereal and gently fold it in.

Pour into a container, close the lid and freeze it for about six hours, or overnight.

Don’t forget to lick the whisk clean while you’re waiting!

That’s it! Super easy to make. What ingredients will you add next time?
